The palette of pastels is clearly my jam this Summer, no doubt about it. Let's get right into it, as it's yet another Sunday featuring a scrapbook update blog post.
Karl Lagerfeld tribute - For ever Karl held in Paris this past Thursday was a joyous affair, as he clearly stated during his life, he isn't one for funerals or sadness. So instead, we all looked back at his creative genius at Chanel, Fendi and his own Karl Lagerfeld brand, just like he would have wanted. This spread was in part inspired by that joyful outlook on life and fashion, the attention to detail by sewing on tiny flowers to make a bolero jacket. The focus on perfection and wearability at the same time.
I always loved mixing haute couture together with ready to wear in my art journal, to create statement fashion pieces that catch the eye and speak more about your personality. Now that summer is here, it's time to take a warm liking to colours (not just pastel) and embrace wearing them everyday. Layered with an occasional jumper for that chilly evening breeze.
It seems like I can't step away from fedora hats (below) and the summer festival vibe I previously mentioned in my last Male Monday series blog entry. Long hair in braids is a summer must, so why not get inspired by the below images and try it out for yourself?
I also love the idea of reading outside, now that the summer weather also gives us more daylight even after work. So let's make the most of it and dust some books off and take them out with you, you never know what can inspire you next!
If you want to take this up a notch, here are some visually inspiring articles about the upcoming fashion trends for this summer. And as always, Pinterest is my visual go to for everything, here is your "pastel special" edition for those balmy cotton candy summer moments of joy.
