Yes I finally did it, I started my very first junk journal, thanks to my dear friend Kristine from London Gifties, who sent me some quality inspirational pages to set me on my way. #scrapbooksunday #scrapbook #scrapbooking #junkjournal #journal #stationery #dowhatyoulove #londongifties
Hello my Charmers, I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Here is another new addition to my Scrapbook Sunday Series and this one is a very special one to me, as it all happened thanks to the lovely Kristine from London Gifties, who helped start me off on my new junk journal journey, so of course I'm sharing this moment with you all.
What is a Junk Journal?
As I was already familiar with scrapbooking, I was left wondering how different keeping a junk journal can be and wanted to find out more. So I turned to Kristine, who sells tons of amazingly inspiring pieces in her London Gifties shop - please go and have a look for yourself. She was kind enough to send me a junk journal, so that I could see for myself, what it's all about and how much fun you can have with it, as there are truly no limits as to what you can do or where it can take you.
She also told me to just go for it, do whatever I like with it and just enjoy it.
So I did just that! And what a blast it was. It's almost like scrapbooking without any thoughts, simply do what you feel is right at that moment in time and voila a beautiful page just blossoms in front of your eyes!
I can't believe I didn't start one sooner, as it's so liberating and as soon as I started customising the front cover I was hooked. So if you're new to junk journaling, do yourself a favour, don't bother watching any of the YouTube videos out there to learn more about what to do and how to start, simply do your thing, whatever it is that feels right to you and start one of your own. Trust me, you won't regret it, as it's even more intuitive than keeping a journal and just as (if not more) therapeutic.
Here is a sneak peek of my new junk journal, with special thanks to London Gifties! I hope you enjoy it and find it inspirational in your own journaling journey. For all my British Charmers, do enjoy your Bank holiday tomorrow!
