As August is slowly bridging over to September it's time to get a quick look at the autumn wardrobe that's trending on everyone's fashion radar. #malemonday #malefashion #menswear #menstyle #menwardrobe
I've been flicking through quite a few fashion magazines lately and since we're heading towards the end of summer, it's all about the autumn style choices, so I wanted to make sure you're ahead of the curve on this one and ready to tackle the chilly season in style!
"People will stare. Make it worth their while." Harry Winston
This time, you'll have to let the prettiness of last season slip away, say bye to the floral shirts and print tees, as it's time to enter tough elegance this autumn.
Super sized shapes
We're talking trenchcoats and puffer jackets hanging all the way down under your knee. This trend definitely looks more casual and comfortable and I'm up for anything that's so wearable and practical.
Slick it up
Get ready to re-enter The Matrix, as sleek long leather coats are back! If you're not a casual person, who wears trench coats and puffers, maybe this trend will tickle your fancy. We all remember the super sleek Keanu Reeves in The Matrix movies, enough said.
Black across the board
To totally simplify all of the above, as long as it's black, matte and in an oversized cut, you'll be on trend! So if there is only one thing you buy for next season, make it a black leather coat rather than a jacket.
A long scarf to compliment your oversized coat. Almost floor length scarves were spotted on some major designer catwalks in London, Paris and Milan. And who doesn't love a cozy big scarf to get rid of the winter chill?
I think adding that extra texture works well and you could go for bolder colours or patterns to add some colour to your outfit.
Heavy duty boots are a must
Anything from lace ups with thick soles to the more sophisticated Chelsea boot, these will keep you warm and dry all autumn long. It's a nice and easy addition to your wardrobe, as it can easily be worn with slim and straight leg tailoring or even with more relaxed trousers.
I hope my top picks have left you inspired!
I wish you a beautiful end of summer and may you enter the autumn season in style.
