Fashion forward to Autumn

With summer coming to an end, this is the time to plan your new season wardrobe. Consider my hand-picked highlights below for your autumn must-haves. #fashion #aw19 #womenswear #style #fashioninspiration #chic #womenwardrobe #womenfashion

Balance

To sum up all that's been trending since the Autumn/Winter 2019 fashion shows earlier this year, it's all about balance. Where beige meets explosive colours and clean minimalism meets big combat boots.

Bourgeois dressing

Channel your 70's era inner bourgeois by matching cute silk blouses with sensible skirts and a neat little blazer. It's the Parisian chic look with little brass button details and a nonchalant scarf thrown around your neck.

Colour coded

Here's one for all the Candy Crush lovers, as autumn's loudest trend pulsates with high saturated colours. While this might not be for everyone, I enjoy a splash of bold colour, especially on a rainy grey autumn day. So do with it as you please and go as bold as you feel on the day!

Leather is back

Yes, especially the leather trouser. They range from biker inspired to high waisted, high shine. So pick your favourite style and match it with an oversized knitted jumper for a comfy outfit with an edge.

Power shoulders

This trend started with summer dresses and tops with puffy shoulders and can easily be transitioned into fall, as there are also plenty of bold shouldered jackets and coats to choose from.

The luxe bucket hat

Yes, the bucket hat got a luxurious reboot for this autumn and it comes in all styles from leather to lace to fake fur. Have fun with it and make a statement by wearing one.

My vision for this autumn

Plisseé skirts that fall below the knee paired with boxy little handbags and gold buckled belts. Printed silk scarves tied either around your ponytail or loosely around your neck. And best of all, the good old aviator sunglasses are back! Are you ready to welcome autumn with a smile?
