Hello my Charmers,
yes it’s been a while and I admit, life has been rather hectic, but what matters the most is that we are back and live with new updates just as Fashion week moves from London to Milan! I love London this time of year, first off, it’s a bit cooler and one can wear light coats again, plus we just had the international fashion crowd from New York, Milan and Paris in the streets of London town, which was thrilling to watch. I love it when people dress up and make an effort to be spotted and noticed by the street photographers. All the vibrant colours of autumn are out with accessories that pop and make me smile.
As London Fashion week moved from Soho down to 180 Strand, there’s been more space to showcase all the outfits of fashionistas walking into the shows, as the pedestrian zone at the new location is much wider and there is enough room for everyone to gather in front of the entrance. Plus the buzzing Holborn and Covent Garden are nearby, so people can easily catch up over a drink or two.
Feel free to let me know in the comments below, what has been your favourite part of London Fashion Week and which events did you attend. There have been plenty to choose from this year, but I think the most Instagram worthy one was by far “The Chubby Cloud” installation designed by Anya Hindmarch at The Banqueting House in Whitehall. I couldn’t resist and booked us in for the Derek Blasberg talk with Edie Campbell and it was well worth every minute. As soon as I heard about the event a few months back, I was intrigued as to how big is this giant beanbag going to be and if it will actually fill the whole room, and oh my, it sure did! What a genius idea and kudos to Anya for such a burst of creativity and zen vision. It was the most beautiful and breathtaking scene I have ever seen. Just imagine, lying on a giant white cloud looking up at the Rubens ceiling, I mean, heaven personified. And all this accompanied by a word from Anya Hindmarch herself, as well as conversation between the always funny (and very jet lagged) Derek Blasberg and charming Edie Campbell. It was a one of a kind experience full of giggles as we were stumbling across this huge beanbag with others dressed in white onesies. All I can say is the kid in me was overjoyed!
Best to just show you some pictures from the evening, so you can visualise the perfection:
